Carpark Records recently tossed me a promo of the forthcoming Cloud Nothings album, and I have to admit I'm pretty impressed by the sounds this Cleveland songwriter has pulled together. It's got that lo-fi, indie sound that's all over the blog-o-sphere, but it's backed with a strong whiff of 80s pop and skate punk. The kid may not be from California, but it sounds like that's where his head is.
This Cloud Nothings album is self-titled, and it's due for a January release next year. Stream the track "Understand At All" below until then:
