With a new album on the way in March of 2013, the Swedish jangle pop outfit the Mary Onettes have a new single out titled "Evil Coast," which has a strong 80s AOR vibe to it. There's something about the glistening synths and groove that remind me of bands like Toto or Phil Colins vibe to it. It may still be a corny sound in some circles, but all genre biases aside, this is a pretty and well-produced tune. Maybe it borders on being a little nostalgic, but it's got me looking forward to the band's next album: Hit the Waves.
