Janka Nabay & the Bubu Gang- "Feba"

New Tracksadmin1 Comment

A track from the forthcoming Luaka Bop release from Janka Nabay & the Bubu Gang. The album's title: En Yay Sah. The rfelease date: August 7th.

On this new track, "Feba," the Sierra Leone native and Bubu music figure leads his band with loads of charisma as a foundation of twanged guitar, sharp drums, and layered synth melodies. While Janka Nabay and his band make music that shares characteristics with other styles of African rock and pop, they certainly set themselves apart by making music that's consciously psychedelic in its use of reverb and washes of overpowering synth chords. Considering the psychedelic undertones, it should be no surprise that the Bubu Gang houses ex-members of Gang Gang Dance and Zs.

Can't wait to see what this record holds!

Found via Mostly Junkfood, here's a compilation of Ghostface Killah and Wu-Tang verses thrown together with afrobeat instrumentals. Produced by Max Tannone, this dude just made two of my favorite worlds collide harder than that asteroid in the hit movie Armageddon would have if Bruce Willis didn't have the guts to stop it.
