Chromeo - "Jealous (I Ain't With It)"

Chromeo drops some visuals on one of the catchier singles from their forthcoming album, White Women. Look for the album on May 12th. You might remember my fandom for the synth funk duo after the release of their last album. Admittedly, that was quelled a bit after they released a relatively weak song with Toro Y Moi; however, "Jealous (I Ain't With It)" has my excitement back in full gear--especially since its pairing with this incredibly clever, well-shot video. Enjoy!

New Chromeo Remix EP

Chromeo is just one of those bands that, for some reason, I feel like I have to justify my fandom. Sure, it's not deep or ground-breaking, and the lyrics can get pretty cheesy with one love story after another.

But Dave 1 and P. Thugg always pull together a great groove and even greater hooks. Plus, the retro direction the duo took its new album in, Business Casual, was kinda refreshing.

Chromeo has a new EP out for the track "When The Night falls." It includes the Business Casual track and four remixes of it, too. Word is there's a video on the way for the song as well. If it's half as sexy as the vids for "Hot Mess" or "Night By Night," I'm gonna break out in a sweat.

Remix Wednesday!

Chromeo- "I Could Be Wrong" ‡ STREAM

Last week, I gave Chromeo's new album a hefty 9/10. The album's catchy beats, sensual vocals, and retro synths all added up into something I couldn't deny. At its core, the LP is a pop record, but it's well-traveled and seeks to pay homage to its forefathers: George Clinton, Huey Lewis, and the Bee Gees, among others.

This track is a bonus to the digital version of the LP found on iTunes, and features Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig. Hearing him and Dave duet on this thing is a serious treat. I just wish this song had been released earlier, because it may have built up a little more pre-album buzz. Would be cool to get more VW fans into this sweet jam:
