Deltron 3030 - "Pay the Price"

Deltron 3030 is back with Dan the Automator, Kid Koala, and Del that Funkee Homosapien! The famed hip hop trio's next album will be titled Event II, and it's sure to be endlessly compared to the group's classic, self-titled debut. Also, we may be looking at a September release.

As far as what I'm hearing goes, "Pay the Price" does not disappoint. Kid Koala's DJ cuts are tight and masterful. The pulsating beat adds a lot of tension to what's essentially a strange, futuristic narrative involving Del exploring the disturbing philosophy of some new planet he happened upon.

Kid Koala Does Daytrotter

If you want to have a serious conversation about underrated artists, Kid Koala is a name that must come up. The Canadian DJ is at the creative forefront of turntablism, expanding ideas on both how to manipulate sound and what sounds can be manipulated. The guy has a new Daytrotter session. It includes his infamous reinterpretation of "Moon River," which has had trouble staying uploaded on YouTube ever since it went slightly viral. It's nice to see it finally has a home on the internet!
