Stream: Fletcher C. Johnson- "Messin' Up My Mind" / "Lost My Head" The Northern Hemisphere might have to endure a few more months of tepid spring, but at least we have Brooklyn garage popper Fletcher C. Johnson to get the blogosphere in that summer state of mind. On "Messin' Up My Mind" his debut single for White Iris, Johnson and his band recall the best of the 60's garage pop that preceded him, complete with that '60s guitar tone and a driving rhythm of handclaps, tambourine, and drums. With a ridiculously catchy two line chorus ("Must have been messin' up my mind / Must have been messin' up my hair") the track is sure to get plenty of spins on those lazy summer drives.
