Out now on R&S Records. Nicolas Jaar - Fight (Nymphs IV) Buy on - iTunes - http://hyperurl.co/gyc66j Buy on - Bleep - http://hyperurl.co/vj7n3t

A new single from the GOD himself Nicolas Jaar on R&S. It's a masterfully produced 8-minute monster withmultiple passages flowing throughout it. It's awesome to see Jaar continuing on this abstract, ambitious streak he's been on since the release of his breakout Space Is Only Noise.

Make sure to check out the recent Pomegranates soundtrack he dropped as well.

WEVAL - "Gimme Some"

New TracksadminComment

Netherlands electronic music duo WEVAL have a new EP on the way via Kompakt titled EASIER. "Gimmie Some" is one of the few cuts from it, and I'm loving the vibe here. The atmosphere surrounding the track is quite haunting, and the beat has a hypnotic, easygoing quality to it that you might find in most microhouse songs. The moaning vocal samples add to this quality as well. However, the strange skipping, guitar-like samples that play throughout much of the track have a sharp, ear-grabbing quality to them. These sounds bring an ear-tingling CRUNCH that makes it hard to just toss this track into the back of the mind. It's a subtle showstopper, I'd like to think.

Millie & Andrea - Drop The Vowels

New TracksadminComment

Millie & Andrea is the on-off collaborative project of electronic music producers Miles Whitaker and Andy Stott. They're finally doing this side-project of theirs big with a new full-length album, which you can stream via the widget above.

It's a set of eight tracks that are glitchy, textured, and rhythmic explorations of sound. Look out for some jungle-style breakbeats, spacey synth sequences, and hypnotic grooves. Enjoy!

Audion (a.k.a. Matthew Dear) - "Motormouth"

New TrackstheneedledropComment

Microhouse's eeriest DJ is now dropping hard-nosed techno grooves under the name Audion, which is apparently a long-running side-project that's been around long enough to have a "retrospective" album coming out on December 10th on Spectral Sound. Because of the vague description of just how long Audion has been around, it's hard for me to place my finger on how old this track is. But it's not something I should sweat too much considering how much of a banger this thing is, with it's punchy kicks and tightly sequenced synths. Enjoy, and check a review of Matthew Dear's latest full-length below:
