The latest B-side from Mogwai's new album Every Country's Sun finds the Glaswegian post-rockers taking a refreshing turn toward more direct songwriting. "Eternal Panther" is a short, sweet, and to the point noise rock tune in the vein of Dinosaur Jr. (I'm far from the first person to make that comparison, but it's very apt). Wax Fang is a Louisville band that most recently released a space rock opera titled The Astronaut in 2014. I'm telling you this not only in case you mistook Interstellar for the greatest cosmic odyssey of that year, but also to set the tone for this premiere. The album drops on May 5, and if you like what you hear, you can pre-order it digitally or on limited edition vinyl here.
