The Guru- "Go Easy"

Connecticut's the Guru drops the first single leading up to the band's next full-length album, Go Easy. The track is a pretty noticeable change of pace for the band, too. Many tracks from the band's last album were jumpy, hyper, and featured vocals that showcased a pretty clear Modest Mouse influence.

"Go Easy," overall, is a much smoother experience, and I'm not just saying that because of the smooth jazz sax fluttering throughout the track. The vocals come off a bit friendlier, and the grooves the band lays out on this album feel much more mature.

Look for Go Easy on the 21st of November.

Some bright and eccentric rock coming from the new Guru album, Native Sun. It's like a volcanic eruption of bright guitars, gruff vocals, and hyperactive grooves. It's a Connecticut album for a Connecticut summer. Yeah, you could probably make a comparison to Modest Mouse, too.
