A new Handsome Furs video for the song "Serve the People," which is off their latest synth-heavy album released earlier this year Sound Kapital. This is a side-project turned main-project for Dan Boeckner from Wolf Parade and his wife Alexei Perry. It is also the first Handsome Furs album released post-Wolf Parade declaring an indefinite hiatus.
The album itself took a while to grow on me, but this song is one of the clear standouts. This video follows a young Chinese boy attempting to just get by in his day-to-day life.
The tension of living in China and the boy's struggle to find any kind of freedom within his life creates an interesting video and coincides perfectly with Boeckner's lyrics. Find Sound Kapital at Sub Pop Records.
