New video for Black Mountain's "The Hair Song." I didn't dig on "Old Fangs," but this song is freaking great. So tight and nimble. It's got a nice folk rock sound to it, too.

Many of y'all may remember that I was a little worried when I heard the first song to come off Black Mountain's forthcoming Wilderness Heart.
I still question whether or not, for me, this new LP will blow its predecessor out of the water, but "the Hair Song" definitely gives me hope. The tracks opens up with some upbeat electro/acoustic guitar strumming and warm bass. The track works in layers, incorporating what sounds like some flute behind the intertwining duet vocals. Wailing keys hop into each lyrical pause, too, adding some really fun texture.
The production is messy, but in the most endearing way possible. It's a tight freakin' song that makes me wonder what else Black Mountain explores on this album, because this was an unexpected surprise. Check the track down below:
