Crystal Castles- "Wrath of God"

New Tracksadmin1 Comment

Crystal Castles drops a new jam, teasing toward what should be the band's third full-length album--which may be titled III. Again, like the track "Plague" that was dropped earlier this year, vocalist Alice Glass' vocals are obscured by a low mix and loads of effects. A driving house beat brings the tempo, and bright synths swirl with hurricane force over it all.

The image paired with the video above seems to be a woman in a niqab holding a man who is going through some sort of painful trauma--whether it be emotional or physical.

Canadian indie electronic duo Crystal Castles have a new track out titled "Plague." Stream or download it via the widget above. While I'm not completely in love with the track, I do like it more than the first song the project dropped from its last album. I wonder if the forthcoming LP attached to this new track will be self-titled as well. Hmmmm...

Crystal Castles- "Not In Love" (ft. Robert Smith) ‡ STREAM

Uncategorizedadmin9 Comments

The Canadian electronic music duo Crystal Castles picked up a huge endorsement and collaboration from the Cure's Robert Smith this week. Together, they've reworked a track from CC's latest album, "Not In Love."

If y'all remember my review of the LP, I wasn't down with a lot of the tracks. But this new version's vocal clarity and hard-hitting chorus make me wanna do things the original didn't--you know, like press the play button again and again. Smith's passionate vocals bring so much to the song. Honestly, the collaboration works so well, it's like it was written with him in mind.

Stream the track below, and look for the single's official release on 12/6.
