Jim Perkins is a pianist / composer / experimenter / adventurer with a new album due on January 31st--however, it's streaming on the internet right now. If you couldn't guess from the art above, the album is titled Grains.
Well, Jim not only has an appreciation or classical music and dynamics, but he's also lays into effects pretty heavily when he's building his twinkling piano compositions. Expect a lot of reversals, hard pans, and tremolo effects. The track below is one of my favorites thus far from the album:
