New single from Lefse Recs' Woodsman. The heavy beat here and shimmering guitars here, though repetitive, work into an extremely hypnotic groove. The mix is so crystal clear, it's like staring into a crystal ball with your ears.
This track is out now via 7''. There are only 300 copies, and it's printed on clear green vinyl. "Insects" is set for release on the band's forthcoming album, too: Rare Forms.
Tjutjuna is a Colorado outfit specializing in densely layered psych rock with a lot of urgency. Their songs develop with increasing noise and intensity; and just as it seems this band can't get any louder, they manage to fit more volume into the mix. If you get off on the sensory overload bands like Lightning Bolt and the USA is a Monster throw into their albums, this should be on list of bands to visit, too.
Luckily, the band's self-titled album is easy to hear because they're streaming it all over the net. They're also selling it for five bucks on their bandcamp page, which isn't too bad either. Give a listen below.
