Fun, funky, and forward-thinking, Ibibio Sound Machine stays one of the most underappreciated bands out there today.

Ibibio Sound Machine - "Let's Dance" (Yak Inek Unek)
New TracksCommentThis is the latest single from recent Soundway Records signees Ibibio Sound Machine. They're a UK-based outfit fronted by British-Nigerian vocalist Eno Williams, and their sound is a melt of vintage electro, disco, and various shades of African music. It all comes together really tastefully, too. "Let's Dance" in particular features a driving beat, rigid synths, and vocals that sway between eccentric and enjoyable awkward. The additional horns are a great touch as well.
Not sure exactly when this band's next record is supposed to drop, but I'm officially looking forward to it as of right now!
