King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Fishing for Fishies
Reviews1 CommentFishing for Fishies is a fun and eco-friendly boogie rock odyssey.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Gumboot Soup
ReviewsCommentThough not stylistically consistent, Gumboot Soup is one of the strongest batches of songs King Gizzard put out in 2017.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Polygondwanaland
ReviewsCommentKing Gizzard has released a proggy new album into the public domain, and it's perhaps the band's most holistic and ambitious effort this year.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - "Crumbling Castle"
New Tracks1 CommentKing Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard seem to have their fourth album of 2017 locked and loaded, and while I haven't been particularly impressed by the past two releases, this latest single has got my mouth watering. "Crumbling Castle" is one of the most epic, multi-faceted, and mystical tracks the band has delivered thus far. And they're apparently making good on their promise of five albums this year, so I guess we'll be hearing this one real soon.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard w/ Mild High Club - Sketches of Brunswick East
Reviews3 CommentsKing Gizzard makes an album with Mild High Club.
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - Murder of the Universe
ReviewsCommentMurder of the Universe might be King Gizzard's most musically and conceptually ambitious project to date, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - The Lord of Lightning Vs. Balrog
New Tracks1 CommentIn lieu of a mere single, here is the entire second chapter of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's three-chapter concept album Murder of the Universe. This will be the psych rock experimentalists' second album of 2017, following the great Flying Microtonal Banana, and the 'gimmick' this time around is the addition of a spoken word narrative to the mix. I'm not sure the band's gonna meet their goal of five albums this year, but so far I think they're pacing themselves well and are finding interesting ways to keep their sound fresh and fun.
Murder of the Universe drops June 23 via Heavenly.
