93696 not only stands as one of the best avant-garde metal albums you’ll hear this year, but also serves as a conceptual retrospective celebrating 10+ years of music from Haela Ravenna Hunt-Hendrix’s Liturgy.

Liturgy - Origin of the Alimonies
ReviewsCommentLiturgy's latest is a metaphysical big bang, turning Ravenna Hunt-Hendrix's theological philosophy into a multifaceted experimental metal opera.
Liturgy - H.A.Q.Q.
ReviewsCommentH.A.Q.Q. is the culmination of all of Ravenna Hunt-Hendrix's musical innovations this decade.
Liturgy - The Ark Work
ReviewsExperimental rock and metal act Liturgy makes a magnum opus of the sounds and ideas forged on their last album.
Survival - "Tragedy of the Mind"
New TracksCommentRavenna Hunt-Hendrix seems to be embarking upon a more solo-oriented musical journey as Liturgy's next album is yet to be released. While that's a bit of a personal disappointment, this new project, Survival, might sit a little better with those who were turned off by Liturgy's fast, abrasive black metal style.
While Survival still pulls a bit from from metal music’s heaviness, it’s more of a psychedelic math rock affair. The riffs and grooves are there with the above track, and I have no doubt that Survival has the potential to be interesting.
Look for Survival's self-titled debut on May 14th via Thrill Jockey.

Liturgy- "True Will"
Videos2 CommentsI usually don't go for these videos that choppily splice footage from various sources, but at least the video Liturgy compiles for this video has a consistent theme: The stranger side of religion.
