Death Grips - "Inanimate Sensation" (Video)
New TracksCommentDeath Grips drops a video single for the first track to be released from their forthcoming album, Jenny Death, which is also the second half of their yet-to-be-completed double album titled The Powers That B. I reviewed the first installment earlier this year.
While it is my job to keep a cool head, it's hard not to be hyped for "Inanimate Sensation." The revving group vocals, presumably live drums, and ear-searing synths all remind me of Death Grips' early work--and sound just as exciting. It's easily one of the most hard-hitting singles of 2014, and I'm hoping much of Jenny Death follows suit.

Mxlplx- "Civic Duties"
New Tracks1 CommentA young MC Ride--yeah, the Death Grips MC Ride--is featured on this Mxlplx video for "Civic Duties." The video seems to be shot in the same scenic, highway-convenient location as this Swank Daddy video for "I'm A Man":
Ride clearly appears in the background of that video as well.
Considering how potent Ride's style is, it only make sense that he built up to it with a series of demos and probably long-forgotten projects. Something like the Money Store doesn't drop out of thin air, and this is proof.
Edit:
Found more videos. Oh, man! Here is Ride featured on other videos from musical co-hort Fyre:
