Though the second installment of Angels of Darkness, Demons of light fixes some of the issues I had with the first, I can't seem to shake this incredibly strong feeling of musical deja vu.

Michael RJ Saalman's Eventually Dead
New Tracks1 CommentAn interesting mix of electronic and acoustic sounds on this new three-track EP from multi-instrumentalist Michael RJ Saalman. This release is titled Eventually Dead, which features bright, minimalist-inspired compositions that remind me of dudes like Dan Deacon.
Still, I find Saalman's sounds to be a bit more experimental. He's not afraid to throw some chorus'd or auto-tuned vocals into the mix along with drums, various synths, and piano. The music is a fun as it is meticulously layered.
Beastie Boys- "Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win" ft. Santigold
VideosCommentNo matter what the Beasties did, there wasn't much of a chance they were going to top the video "Fight For Your Right (Revisited)." It's almost like director Spike Jonze came in knowing that, so he purposely created something on a much smaller scale, literally.
Still, even though every person in this video is played by an action figure, the tiny explosions, cars, and fights all add up to eleven minutes of hilarity. Expect guest appearances from Santigold, a yeti, and zombies.
