The highlight track from the French duo Herman Dune's recently-reviewed new album Strange Moosic has an interesting music video. In the clip, Mad Men's Jon Hamm stars alongside a furry blue creature as they take a drive into the city to see the folk band perform at a club. It's simultaneously endearing and off-putting, and is appealing in the same slightly skewed way as Herman Dune's odd folk pop. Look for Strange Moosic out now on City Slang Records.

ReviewsCommentFrance's Herman Dune has come correct with another batch of light, breezy indie folk tunes that make for a perfect summer listen. Like always, the band's frontman, David, brings these songs to live with his approachable voice and personality. To me, some songs really do pale in comparison to others, but albums with this kind of personality have always tended to wear thin with me a little bit. I bring this duo up because I think a lot of y'all might appreciate it more than I am.
