Giraffage- "Even Though" ft. XXYYXX

New TracksGuest UserComment

Producers Giraffage and XXYYXX have collaborated together on a new song and remix EP entitled Even Though. The EP features on an original mix from the two beat-makers and 4 remixes done by various artists including Teen Daze. The original track successfully combines the unique styles these two have and mashing them together creating a fresh and undeniably full sounding song. The best moments are when the tracks swells all of its synthesizers together to a densely layered boiling point.

The remixes all offer a great deal variety all providing their own tempos and flair offering a new perspective on the original track.

Teen Daze- "The Bluest Water I'd Ever Seen"

Ever since Canada's Teen Daze dropped its debut LP, My Bedroom Floor, the project has gone in different directions; embracing every flavor of dreamy electronic pop that it possibly could.

The project's latest single, "The Bluest Water I'd Ever Seen," Is streaming above. Here, some icy synths glide across a steady beat at a nice click. The sparkling guitars are a nice touch, too.

Scope a video for the track here, and here is an alright-sized picture of the single's cover:

Back in August, I reviewed a new EP from a little bedroom electropop project out of Canada, Teen Daze. The release had gotten some decent buzz, but I wouldn't expect any future output to tread the same water.

Teen Daze has been doing a bit of genre hopping as of late, and this new EP is a trek through the sounds of summery, lo-fi pop. If you dug that Best Coast album earlier this year, it's worth a visit. The title of this 4-track sandbar is Beach Dreams. Stream it below, and download it on bandcamp on a pay-what-you-freakin-wanna-pay basis.

Teen Daze- "Watch Over Me" ‡ MP3

This past weekend, Canada's Teen Daze sent me a brand new track. If you dig on it, trek back and dig on his recently released EP, Four More Years.

I gotta say I'm pretty impressed with this one. It's a surprising change of pace from what he's put out in the past, and it's got a soft, dreamy sound akin to many of the tracks from the new Radio Dept. album, Clinging to a Scheme. The lyrics are pretty catchy too. Stream / download:
