American metalcore guitarist and professional wrestler Andy Williams (Atomic Rule, ex-Every Time I Die) "hit his head" during a match before he collapsed and died Saturday during a wrestling event, according to 911 dispatch audio calls obtained by TMZ.

In one call, an emergency worker reported a male wrestler was injured during a match after hitting his head on a ring post at Mr. Smalls Funhouse Theatre in Millvale, Pennsylvania.

In another call, a different emergency worker requested “emergent lifting assistance,” with a dispatcher noting police and EMS were already at the scene.

The Needle Drop obtained a preliminary release of information from the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office, which states Williams was found unresponsive at the theatre and transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:48 p.m. ET.

The preliminary release states an incident time of 8:45 p.m. ET with the Millvale Borough Police Department as the investigating agency.

Hours before his death, Williams posted a video to the Atomic Rule social media channels hyping new music.

"Update of the work we’ve been putting in! So stoked to share all this with you! We feel like we’ve finally found our feet planted to this beautiful earth and now we’re running full speed!" Williams wrote in the caption.

He was 48.
