Indigo Sparke has announced her third album, There Is a Light on the Horizon Line, out February 12, 2027 via Everwilde Records, her new imprint. It’s her first new album in four years, following the release of 2022’s Hysteria.
Alongside the announcement, Sparke shared a new single, “Weird Fish,” the second preview of the album which follows the record's title track. You can listen to “Weird Fish” here:
Sparke describes “Weird Fish” as “a meditation on the strange intelligence of love,” saying the song looks at how intimacy asks people to shed old patterns and imagine new ways of being together.
There Is a Light on the Horizon Line was produced by John Parish and recorded in Bristol, where Sparke, who is now based in California, traveled to work on the record while 33 weeks pregnant. The songs were written during a period of personal change for Sparke and track her experiences of love, motherhood, devotion, memory, identity, and the impact of intimacy. The album features Adrian Utley of Portishead, Seb Rochford, and Shahzad Ismaily, alongside Sparke’s longtime collaboration Adam Brisbin.
