Floridian rap artist Kodak Black entered the state's Orange County Jail on May 6th after facing a drug trafficking charge.
The 28-year-old Black, real name Bill Kapri, was booked following a November incident involving gunfire outside the Children's Safety Village nonprofit in Orlando. Officers called to the scene searched a BMW and Lamborghini on the premises, and found items inside one of the vehicles matching paraphernalia seen on Kapri's Instagram. The search ultimately found 10 grams of MDMA inside the vehicle.
The rapper has previously been arrested in 2023 and 2022, for cocaine possession and a string of charges including trafficking and substance possession without a prescription, respectively.
The charge is considered a first-degree felony in Florida, and carries with it a minimum sentence of three years and a $50,000 fine.
