Rapper Macklemore announced today on Instagram that he will be donating $1 million he earned from Ed Sheeran's Loop tour – which recently saw basically everyone on it jump ship, and from which Mack was kicked off – to six organizations that help Palestinian people.

Macklemore also called for New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft to match his donation.

Macklemore said in a statement:

“I want to center the parents carrying their children into hospitals without the basic resources to treat them, and the physicians, paramedics, journalists and aid workers who keep going back in. I want to center the organizers and activists who have paid real costs for standing with Palestine. Their risk is of a far different order than mine.”

Multiple artists such as Zara Larsson and Gigi Perez have shown support for Macklemore in the wake of him being booted from the Loop tour.
