The long friendship between Skrillex and French filmmaker Quentin Dupieux, aka electronic music legend Mr. Oizo, continues with news that the American DJ and producer will feature on the soundtrack to Dupieux’s latest movie, Full Phil, starring Woody Harrelson and Kristen Stewart as the leads.

Dupieux teased their latest collaboration in an Instagram story earlier this week but didn’t give much away. Skrillex first teamed up with Dupieux a decade ago on the Mr. Oizo track “End of the World,” and Mr. Oizo then featured on the 2023 Skrillex track “RATATA,” which also starred Missy Elliott.

Full Phil is set to premiere next month in Cannes, with a supporting cast including Charlotte Le Bon, Emma Mackey, Nassim Lyes, and comedy duo Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim.

A synopsis on IMDB describes the plot of as “A rich American industrialist's Paris trip with his estranged daughter Madeleine goes awry when French food, a vintage horror movie, and a meddling hotel worker interfere with their plans,” while Dupieux described it to Variety as “like ‘Emily in Paris’ in hell – a fever dream, a nightmare version of it.”
