Mike Hadreas, the artist behind Perfume Genius, has announced a live performance piece that blends his music with contemporary dance by choreographer Kate Wallich. Alongside the announcement, Hadreas shared his new single, "Natural High."

"Natural High" is part of the score that will soundtrack the live music and dance performance, The Lesson, which draws inspiration from the film The Piano Teacher.

In a press release, Hadreas describes his albums feeling like soundtracks to films that don't exist, and having the ability to be every character or nothing at all. When collaborating with Wallich, he says:

"That doesn’t change when creating a performance with Kate, all the mystery and thrill of going somewhere lawless and dreamlike stays intact - but I’m not alone in building the world and it literally fleshes out in real time. Body swapping feels very different when you are actually in a room holding the other person.”

The performance will premiere in Los Angeles at REDCAT on February 18, with additional performances in the US and Europe. Tour dates below:
