The return of acclaimed singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers has been slow, but methodical. She's been playing short-notice pop-up shows in smaller markets around the country for the past several weeks. The catch? No phones, recording devices, or pen and paper allowed as to not leak her new material. Tickets were first-come-first-served at the box office, but things eventually got out of hand when fans followed the tour bus around.
In her biggest of these shows by far, Bridgers is set to play NYC's storied Madison Square Garden this Thursday, June 4th. The tickets start at $1, and any additional amount paid for the ticket will be donated to the Immigration Bond Freedom Fund, which works to release people from immigration detention while their cases are processed. A higher donation amount does not increase your chances of being selected.
Entrants will be selected by random draw to attend the event, and will be notified of their selection tomorrow at noon. Requests (which can be made here) close tonight at midnight EST.
