Triada have announced their debut album, Exuvia, out October 28 Verve Records / Mercury Records. The album’s title references exuviae, the scientific term for an animal shedding its old skin, and marks the Buenos Aires trio’s first full-length release.
Alongside the announcement for the record, the band shared a new single, “Clara.” Listen here:
Exuvia was produced by Didi Gutman and composed over three days at a cabin by the river, with the band taking breaks in the city of Villa Gessel in Argentina between sessions. For “Clara,” the band brought in additional vocalists for the backing harmonies, which they said was the first time they’d invited outside musicians to join them.
Triada is headed out on a run of shows this fall, including a stop at the London Jazz Festival. You can see those dates down below.
