Forest Fire is one of the latest bands to be signed to Fat Cat Records, a label know for releasing albums by such indie rock luminaries as Animal Collective and Sigur Ros. The Brooklyn band's sound is more traditional than some of their labelmates, however, and comes closer to the atmospheric rock stylings of The Walkmen.
Anyway, the group has a new track out on Soundcloud called "Future Shadows." The song begins simply enough with effect-laden guitar and vocals, but builds to a crescendo quickly with bubbling percussion and subtle electronic flairs.
