Like "Wintered Debuts," "Dour Percentage" moves further away from the overbearing electronics that have been making Of Montreal's latest records feel a little crowded. Here, they rely on flute, saxophone, and multi-tracked vocals to keep things fun and flamboyant. This is just how I like my Of Montreal. I feel like they've toned the instrumentation down a bit, but haven't lost any personality in the process. In fact, I'd say frontman Kevin Barnes' persona is odder than ever!
