L.A. musician Melissa Ann Sweat (aka Lady Lazarus) has released a new video for the song "Wonder, Inc." from her latest album of reverb-heavy piano confessionals, All My Love in Half Light (an unfortunately overlooked 2013 LP). In the video, Sweat is seen singing behind hanging sheets wearing a lacy black hat, pantomiming the repetitive major chords, holding balloons, taking a bubble bath, etc., as elements of the natural world (leaves, grass) begin to encroach. The whole thing is very placid and open-ended, which is fitting given the gauzy, spacious song that supports it.
