On their fifth studio album DeVotchKa goes further down the road of simplification with their sound. The songs to come off as being more immediate and catchier, but I miss the whimsical instrumentation and international flavors that used to shine a little brighter in the music. Obviously, I'm not a huge fan of this track. I'd love to link y'all to DeVotchKa songs I do like, though. I'd hate to give a bad first impression to potential fans who have never heard of the band before.
