A new track from dance rock outfit Turing Machine here. It's from the forthcoming album, What Is The Meaning Of What, which will be the group's first album in eight years. Look for it on Temporary Residence on May 8th.
With this track, "Slave to the Algorithm," the trio robotically pulsates its way through a tight groove with some crisp drums, retro synths, a smooth bassline, and what sounds like an autoharp as well. It's an interesting variation on a familiar formula.
LCD Soundsystem's Pat Mahoney and a few DFA relatives appear on the album as well. From the sound of this track, I think they'll fit right in.
