Camper Van Beethoven is a group with a full deck of cards in their collective pockets, meaning that it seems like barring extreme changes they can tackle nearly any genre they feel like.
With that exploration into other genres they manage to feel distinctly like themselves, which is always the most difficult task when tackling other genres outside of a perceived comfort zone. In this new single off of their upcoming album tenth release La Costa Perdida. This song has strong psychedelic vibes that are nothing new for the band, but they give off strong Sgt. Peppers vibes that I am digging especially the echoed, stringy guitars. It goes really well with the vocals, it's scary just how perfect it all fits and the abstract vocals make it even better.
La Costa Perdida is out January 22nd.
