Well, here's a collaboration that's totally from out of left-field. New York rap group Ratking has teamed up with New York noise musician Eric Copeland (of Black Dice fame) for Converse's upcoming Cons EP Vol. 1. Because Copeland has been moving towards a slightly more accessible style of twisted, psychedelic electronica; the result certainly doesn't approach Death Grips', clipping.'s, or Young Fathers levels of abrasion. Still, what we get is a choppy and colorful piece of alternative hip hop that manages to come off very catchy and very cool. Chill listening!
