Armand Hammer - Shrines
ReviewsCommentThough Shrines is Armand Hammer's least direct effort thus far, Billy Woods and Elucid continue to have one of the most compelling dynamics in modern hip hop.
Armand Hammer - Paraffin
ReviewsCommentBilly Woods and Elucid team up again as Armand Hammer for one of the year's best abstract hip hop albums.
Premiere: ELUCID - "Wake Up Dead Man" (Milo Remix)
New TracksCommentBack in April, New York hip hop artist ELUCID released his revelatory third album, Save Yourself, through Backwoodz Studioz. Above, you can hear a remix of the project's penultimate track courtesy of Milo. If there's any rapper/producer thoughtful enough to pull off this remix, it's Milo, so we're stoked to debut it.
Hope you dig it; if so, check out the album here:
Elucid - "Throwing Bones"
New TracksCommentElucid's got a new project called Save Yourself coming out soon via Backwoodz Studioz; this single isn't on the tracklist - just something to whet your appetite.
Armand Hammer - Furtive Movements
ReviewsCommentArmand Hammer drops a post-album EP of fan-pleasing odds 'n' ends.
Armand Hammer - "B.E.T."
New TracksCommentNew York MCs Billy Woods and Elucid are teaming up once again as Armand Hammer. They'll be dropping a new EP soon, and the track "B.E.T." will be one of the tracks featured on it. The title: Furtive Movements, and it's dropping August 5th.
Like usual, Woods' and Elucids' bars are cryptic and dark. These guys continue to take hip hop to come dark, eerie depths--especially with that lone guitar line laced into the beat on this one. Enjoy!
Armand Hammer - Race Music
Reviews4 CommentsBilly Woods and Elucid team up on Race Music to make one of the most dense hip hop albums to come out this year. With seventeen tracks laced with this duo's esoteric lyricism, this one's gonna require quite a few replays for maximum enjoyment and comprehension. A few shaky choruses on tracks like "Hand Over Fist" and "Renaissance Garments," but still a rap album worth reading into!
