The Mountain Goats - "Rain in Soho"
New Tracks1 CommentMore so than on the previous teaser track, The Mountain Goats live up to the title of their forthcoming album Goths here on the opener "Rain in Soho." This song actually finds the band on some gothic, post-punky shit and it should set the tone for the album quite nicely. Goths is out May 19 via Merge.
The Mountain Goats - "Andrew Eldritch Is Moving Back to Leeds"
New TracksCommentRealizing that goth culture is the logical progression from professional wrestling, the Mountain Goats have announced a gothic-themed and guitar-less new album, aptly titled Goths. The album will be released on May 19 via Merge; in the meantime you can hear its second track above, as well as order a limited edition 3LP version that comes with a 12" containing four ambient pieces, which can be chalked up as one more interesting change of pace for the band.
