Shortly after talking up the upcoming release of Papercuts' new album, Fading Parade, a single from it had been dropped by Sub Pop.

"Do What You Will" maintains the same shimmer and atmosphere that made You Can Have What You Want such a beautiful experience, but the songwriting is yet to hit me with as much impact. Papercuts have a knack for matching a lucid sound with concise songs, but it seems both sides of the coin are hitting the snooze button on this one.

If y'all remember, Papercuts' last album, You Can Have What You Want, sat proudly on my top-15 albums of '09 list. So it's no surprise that I'm stoked for this upcoming album--which is titled Fading Parade. Before the LP's release on Sub Pop on 3/1, a single for the track "Do What You Will" is gonna drop on 2/1. Waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting. -
