Pharmakon - "Ache"

New TracksadminComment

Given the copious amount of what look like maggots on the front cover of Pharmakon's Abandon, it should be pretty clear that this music is not for the squeamish. What this one-woman power electronics project offers in terms of sound is pretty abrasive. The song streaming above, "Ache," delivers ear-piercing tones, harsh screams, and metallic juts of percussion that attack the senses in a notably thrilling way.

Look for Pharmakon's latest release on Sacred Bones.

Torche- "Kicking"

VideosadminComment

Torche drops some entertaining visuals for one of the best tracks from the Florida band's latest album, Harmonicraft. The video here takes a humorous approach toward depicting a game of America's greatest pastime: Kickball. There's love, triumph, matching outfits, and concussion-induced hallucinations. This video's got everything!

Look for Torche's new album on Volcom.

Fidlar- DIYDUI

New TracksadminComment

Coming out in April on White Iris, here's the new Fidlar 7", DIYDUI. These guys are a LA band looking for some bottles to break and weed to smoke. Maybe a couch to lay on for a while, too. Definitely something to help Black Lips or Natural Child fans kick spring into high gear. Be on the lookout for some surf rock reverb, pounding guitars, and a load of attitude.

Destroyer- "Leave Me Alone" (New Order Cover)

Destroyer has recently covered the track “Leave Me Alone” for the Mojo New Order covers album of Power, Corruption & Lies. Destroyer's take on this song plays it a little safe, adding some distortion and slightly altered vocal delivery. It’s a pretty faithful adaptation; however, I am looking forward to hearing some different interpretations of these songs from the other bands on this compilation.
