Hud Mo - "Structure" / Lunice - "Steady Flexin"

New TracksadminComment

Here are two tracks that have recently been dropped by LuckyMe Records on YouTube. They were dropping one song a day up 'til Christmas for a li'l while this past December, and Hudson Mohawke & Lunce were among the many producers featured--I think the Lunice track has been floating around for a while, though.

You might also know these guys as the spectacular electronic music duo TNGHT, but their talent still shows in solo capacity. Stream Hud Mo's track above and Lunice's below. Go even further down to check a review for TNGHT's debut EP. Enjoy!

Death Grips- "Poser Killer" / "Fyrd Up"

Currently, the TND camp is in the midst of a bit of Death Grips fever, and there's no cure in sight. Addiction, addiction, addiction.

So, late last month, what seems to be a few Death Grips demos surfaced on YouTube, but they haven't really received the blog buzz they deserve. To my knowledge, YouTube user MichealMcNanner was the first person to have shared these tracks on the internet, and how he came about these songs is bluntly explained in the comments for "Fryd Up":

Judging from the sound quality and production on these two tracks, they sound early. Maybe even produced prior to the EP tracks that preceded last year's Exmilitary. Still raw and intense, though. Grab these two tracks below:

Edit: I've been told these tracks were also released, rather covertly, as a part of the Death Bomb digital singles collection.

Evian Christ- Kings and Them

At the beginning of January, I fell in love with the music of Evian Christ at first listen. The young London-based producer just has a really creative approach to beatmusic; incorporating elements of hip hop, ambient music, and various sounds from the latest electronic music trends in the UK.

I wasn't the only one who felt that way, though. Evian received quite a bit of blog buzz for the handful of tracks he had anonymously uploaded to a YouTube channel not too long ago.

Thanks to the uproar, Evian has now released a free compilation of all the tracks he's released so far on YouTube, and should be releasing more material in the future on the label that recently recruited him, Tri Angle Records.

Stream the compilation, Kings and Them, above or stream it below:

oOoOO- "Burnout Eyess" / "Hearts" ‡ MP3s

So as many of y'all may already know, I'm not a huge fan of Salem. Plus, part of me feels like this whole "witch house" thing is gonna go down the same path as chillwave: It'll produce a couple decent albums, and its notable musicians will showcase their talent by separating themselves from the pack by succeeding in other projects as well. Just look at good ol' Alan Palomo. The Neon Indian frontman is becoming a real monster of underground dance music.

So just to prove that I'm not a grumpy old curmudgeon--which is a word only a curmudgeon would use, ugh--I'm gonna endorse a "witch house" outfit I think is worth watching: oOoOO. The project is from the West Coast and the sounds are pretty sweet and eerie despite some crude production. oOoOO has some got some singles and a great music video floating around YouTube, too. There's an oOoOO EP on the way, and you can dig on two tracks from it below. It's out next week on Tri Angle Recs.
