Beyoncé, aka Queen B, still has a few tricks up her sleeve as she surprise-released a new song over the Fourth of July holiday titled "MORNING DEW (DONK)," which will be featured on the 20th anniversary edition of her sophomore album, B'Day.
Her first song in two years and the first since 2024's Cowboy Carter, "MORNING DEW (DONK)" sees the Queen turn back time with a minimalist R&B track that was once a leaked demo.
Watch the official lyric video below:
The song is said to have been conceived during the recording of her monumental sophomore album, originally released September 1, 2006, on Beyoncé's 25th birthday and which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Written by Beyoncé with Pharrell Williams, The-Dream, and Darius Dixon and produced by Beyoncé and Pharrell, "MORNING DEW (DONK)" is accompanied by the above lyric video directed by longtime collaborator Cliff Watts.
Watts used archival footage from around B'Day's original release, including her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue photo shoot, to create the right amount of nostalgia to get the BeyHive hyped for the anniversary.
The 20th anniversary edition of B'Day arrives September 4 via her record label Parkwood Entertainment.
