Boyz II Men, the Grammy-winning R&B trio, have announced today they have signed to Warner Records Nashville to release their first every country music album. The group plans to release the album in 2027.
This is not the group’s first encounter with country; they've performed at the Grand Ole Opry in 2018, performed with Cody Johnson at this year’s Stagecoach, and collaborated with Lady A for the song “I Love The One” for the biblical drama series The Chosen.
In an interview with The Tennessean/USA Today, singer Nathan Morris said, “We’ve been a part of almost every genre of music. So this is one that we haven’t really dug in like we’d always wanted to. I mean, we’ve done just about all we could do in R&B. So this is fun.”
Fellow band mate Wanyá Morris stated in the same interview, “We don’t want to become country. We want to be a part of it.” He also said, “If you love country, and you love Boyz II Men, then you’ll love this album.”
