The Portland-based band Growing Pains have released their new single, "Bottle Rocket," off their new LP Daniel Loves Mandy Forever, set to release October 9 via Photo Finish.

"Bottle Rocket" is the fourth single off the LP, as well as the closer to a power pop, indie rock-inspired record. You can watch the video for the single here:

Compared to the other singles like "Swimming" and "Crush," "Bottle Rocket" is full of guttural power chords that leave a lingering feeling that weighs on your chest. Carl Taylor, guitarist, says of the track:

"This song was inspired by a childhood memory of trying to send a toy rocket afar. An act of reaching for something that can never be grasped. I don't know if this was a real memory or a dream."
