Ohio emo alternative-rock unit Hawthorne Heights have announced a weekend of shows at Estes Park, Colorado's Stanley Hotel. The band will be performing on February 5th and 6th, 2027, at the hotel best known for inspiring Stephen King's 1977 novel, The Shining.
The band describes the shows as a "weekend of intimate shows and after parties" in an Instagram post on Thursday. Tickets for the 2027 shows go on sale here on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM MT.
The Stanley Hotel is home to room 217– the room that inspired King's harrowing novel that later led to the Stanley Kubrick film adaptation. King and his wife stayed at the hotel in 1974 and were some of the only guests to occupy it that night. King reveals that he had a dream there in which:
"My three-year-old son [was] running through the corridors, looking back over his shoulder, eyes wide, screaming. He was being chased by a fire-hose. I woke up with a tremendous jerk, sweating all over, within an inch of falling out of bed."
