Legendary New York City metal club Saint Vitus Bar is reopening in a new location two years after the city's Department of Buildings shut down the venue.
In a video posted to Instagram, the folks behind the bar announced the new Saint Vitus will be at the former home of Brooklyn Made, located at 428 Troutman Street in the Bushwick neighborhood of NYC.
In 2024, city officials shut down the bar's Greenpoint location during a show headlined by New York hardcore veterans Mindforce. Officials listed multiple violations for the closure, including the absence of maximum occupancy signs and improper certifications for assembly and drinking.

Vitus has teased the announcement with a series of videos where the bar's mascot Günther, a mannequin known to hang out by the venue's bar, leaves Greenpoint and begins the journey to his new home.
The video does not announce an official opening date, but it looks as if it will be sometime in Fall 2026.
