Having teased the track in a recent Vogue Scandinavia cover story, DJ trio Swedish House Mafia have finally set a date for the release of their "Swedish Avengers" team up with Lykke Li and producers Max Martin and Oscar Holter. Out July 31, "Happiness Is So Sad" had its live debut over the weekend during Swedish House Mafia's ongoing club residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza, but won't hit streaming until July 31.

Speaking to Vogue about working with Li, Swedish House Mafia's Sebastian Ingrosso described her as "just one of the coolest artists ever, she's a true artist," adding "She has this depth that we really love, and her voice is so unique.”

Speaking with Vogue, Li had this to say about the collab:

“It’s always nerve-racking working with new people and writing something on the spot, but Sebastian completely put me at ease. His energy is insanely positive and infectious. When we found the riff we were all screaming with our hands in the air. Those melodies that pierce your soul, that make you want to cry and dance at the same time. We Swedes understand darkness but we love the light more than anyone else.”

In other Lykke Li news, she recently reunited with producer The Magician for a remix of "Lucky Again" from her recent album, The Afterparty. The pair had a huge hit back in 2010 with The Magician's now-classic house remix of "I Follow Rivers." Listen below:
