Art-punk renegades Man/Woman/Chainsaw are back with another huge track, "Nosedive", plus news of their debut album Cannonball. Arriving August 7 via Fiction Records, the 11-track LP was recorded at RAK Studios with Margo Broom and Geordie Greep producer Seth Evans and promises to be an in-your-face "whole record of bangers."
Watch the video for "Nosedive" below:
The London-based band – Billy Ward (vocals, guitars), Emmie-Mae Avery (vocals, keys/synths), Vera Leppänen (vocals, bass), Clio Harwood (violin), Lola Cherry (drums), and Billy Doyle (guitars) – formed while they were still at school, and released their debut EP, Eazy Peazy, in 2024.
Avery, who takes the lead on "Nosedive", says of the track:
“It's is a song about longing for both comfort and freedom simultaneously in a relationship through the metaphor of being an injured bird needing shelter. We turned it into a danceable upbeat track, which made the tone shift throughout the song as though you find a way to pick yourself up and fly away.”
