Los Angeles-based rapper The Koreatown Oddity announced that he will be releasing his newest album, Purdy, on October 2, 2026 through Stones Throw Records. The announcement was made on his X page after several days of cryptic posts on his Instagram profile.

The announcement was made alongside the release of a new single, “Festivus,” with a feature by Trenttruce. This is his third single for the record, following “Yahtzee” and “Ragu & Prego,” which were released two weeks ago and two months ago respectively.

Purdy is The Koreatown Oddity’s fourth album for Stones Throw Records, following 2022’s ISTHISFORREAL? and his widely acclaimed 2020 record, Little Dominiques Nosebleed.

In a statement by Stones Throw about the upcoming album, they said, “Purdy is the proving ground for an avant-garde rapper tackling being a father and partner with the boundless confidence of a child’s imagination.”

In his own words about the record, the rapper said, “It is the moment when our artist has regressed to the point of infinity, himself becoming part of the landscape he painted and is both the observer and the observed.”

The Koreatown Oddity has not announced a tour, nor a track list, but the record is available for pre-order on vinyl and cassette. Preorder the album here.
