Trump to headline Great American State Fair amidst artists dropping out

The Great American State Fair, the massive 14-day festival celebrating America's 250th birthday, is undergoing massive lineup changes after the majority of the musical acts dropped out following the discovery of the festival's ties to the Trump administration.

The slew of announcements led to a social media rant by Donald Trump in which he called the artists that have pulled out "Third Rate 'Artists'", as well as suggesting he headline the festival. Today, it seems that Trump got his wish.

Freedom 250, the Trump-tied organization responsible for the Great American State Fair, made the announcement via social media on May 30, describing Trump as the "visionary" behind the event.

As the only non-music act on the lineup, Trump will lead a rally in place of a concert, which he says will be "a Wild and Beautiful Celebration of America!"

Trump finds himself in company with the likes of rappers Flo Rida and Vanilla Ice, two of the festivals remaining artists. Among those who have dropped out includes country singer Martina McBride, the Commodores, and Poison frontman Bret Michaels.
